Want to know how to become a dog trainer and instructor? Click on "How Do I ...?" at left for suggestions from one of our most experienced members.

Is there a quicker way?  You've seen the ads for various training schools or correspondence courses. The article on "Schools" may help answer some of your questions.

Discussion lists are also a good choice to facilitate learning. There are many dog training discussion lists to help increase your general knowledge about dog training.  The Obed-Teach list on Yahoo Groups is focused specifically on instructing issues.

The NADOI Anthology is a timeless collection of "NADOI Notes" articles from 1971 to the present on many different topics of interest to instructors. When converting the articles to electronic medium, we were amazed at how many of them are still relevant today.

If you ever wondered what it takes to get a dog certified as a “Service Dog”, you will want to read Jeanne Hampl’s article: Milestones in Training Service Dog Candidates.
