Program topics suggested by members will be an integral part of our Annual Gathering, April 21-23, 2017 at New Leash on Life in Oklahoma City.

Chad Mackin of Pack to Basics will present a workshop for us on Saturday, and take part in a panel with NADOI members. Chad is from the Chicago area and worked with Dick Russell with large field socialization.

Our wonderful friends and staff at New Leash on Life will do two presentations on the world of therapy dogs and service dogs.

Kelly Bowers will be presenting topics Friday and Saturday to help us with our businesses and even the dreaded taxes. And Sunday, NADOI members will host a session on tips for instructing people.

The other integral part of the Gathering is just that; gathering and talking with our community. NADOI is a community of people who want to train dogs and people, who want to keep learning, who want “lots of tools in the toolbox”. “Just” sitting and visiting with instructors who have such a wealth of experience is often one of the best parts of the weekend. So please come and join us!!

Kelly Bowers will be presenting on the topics “Your Passion, Your Profits” and “Can I Deduct That” during the Gathering. Kelly is the author of “Before You Leap: Six Secrets to Making Your Passion into a Real Business” and co-author of “Can I Deduct That?” In January she will release a version of “Can I Deduct That?” written for our profession and other animal-related businesses. Some of our members participated in her research survey.
